Experience: 29 Years in Early Years

Hi I’m Wendy, I am the Director of LSA Montessori. I have been working with children for over 30 years and at this setting for the last 17 years. I have a BTEC in Nursery Nursing, and Advanced Diploma in Education and I am completing my Montessori Teacher qualification. I am also commencing a Bsc (hons) in Animal Behaviour and Welfare, which is relevant to my volunteer work.

I have enjoyed traveling to many places in the world, but now spend most of my spare time working with animals. I run a voluntary organisation called Homeward Bound and have a team of volunteers who go out to found pets to help get them home, also helping owners of missing pets. I am a qualified microchip implanter and canine first aider and won Radio Wave’s Hero’s in the Community award, volunteer of the year 2016. I have written a book on puppy socialisation called ‘Enya’s Blog’. I also run a Cockapoo club. I have 2 sons and 2 grandchildren, one of whom I go Pokémon hunting with! I have 4 dogs, 3 Cockapoo’s and a Saint Bernard and 2 cats.
